Our Strategic Focus

Our work is anchored in three core areas of focus.

The first is to inspire connection. We aim to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the West Coast’s natural and cultural heritage, while we create spaces for dialogue and connection between the diverse communities of the region. Through workshops, events and visual storytelling, we seek to strengthen a shared sense of belonging, stewardship and care.

The second is to inform and enable action through storytelling. We empower civil society to stand against illegal and unethical mining activities through investigative content, storytelling, and accessible reporting tools. We believe that communities are stronger when they are informed, connected and equipped to act.

The third is to demand accountability. To protect the West Coast, we hold corporations and government to account, ensure that environmental laws are upheld, and assist in protecting communities from environmental and social harm. Our role is to help ensure that these obligations are not only recognised in principle, but enforced in practice.
